  • children

The Children's Ministry at First Baptist Church of Bethany exists to awaken a passion in children for the glory of God by leading them to Celebrate Christ by making His disciples everywhere. We intentionally train children in the faith by immersing them in the word of God, teaching them how to pray, and guiding them in worship. Our greatest desire is that they will accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior and carry His light first into Bethany Missouri and then into the rest of the world. Psalm 22:30-31 reads, "Future generations will also serve Him. Our children will hear about the wonders of the Lord. His righteous acts will be told to those yet unborn. They will hear about everything He has done.” Our children are the future generation and they will hear about all that God has done at First Baptist Church of Bethany. We accomplish this with music and drama, Awana program, Bible Drillers, camps,  family outings, choirs, special seasonal events, and lots of fun! Proverbs 22:6 states, "Train up the child and the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Below is a list of our various discipleship programs.

  • students

WE LOVE TEENS AND PRETEENS!  Our desire for the Student Ministry at FBC is to invite students into an active and vibrant relationship with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  Our goal is not simply for them to show up and watch ministry, but that they would take an active role in being the church, both within the corporate family of God, as well as beyond the walls of the church…out in the “real world.” Jesus tells us in Matthew 22:37-39 to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.”  We do this by seeking to train and equip students (and their families) with the skills and tools needed to: independently live for Christ in every aspect of their lives through the power of the Holy Spirit, fulfill the Great Commission by simply and effectively sharing the good news of Jesus with a lost and broken world, and to study and understand the truth of God’s Word both for themselves and so that they can be a light to others.  Some of the activities in which we invite them to participate includes Sunday morning and Wednesday evening bible study and worship, a monthly student-led bible study we call “Reverb,” an annual mission trip, summer camp, and a host of other events and opportunities.  Our doors are open to every student, whether you’ve grown up in church or whether you have a ton of questions and simply don’t know where to start.  Come hang out with us at FBC!

  • Men's Ministry

“But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.” - 1 Timothy 6:11 NKJV

At First Baptist Church of Bethany we’re focused on helping Christian guys connect and encourage each other. Our desire is to see our men infiltrate the church, the workplace, and the home through fellowship, teaching, and Bible study. It is our prayer that men will lead their families and the Bethany Community to make disciples who make disciples. Currently we offer a Men's Sunday School class that gathers every Sunday morning at 9:30a.m. We also meet every last Saturday of the month at the Diner Car at Hope Royal at 7:45a.m. We like to change things up once in a while, so check the bulletin for details. Also, stay tuned for announcements about upcoming events like hunting, tailgate parties, sporting tournaments, Bible studies, seminars, breakfasts, prayer meetings, and opportunities to serve.

  • women's ministry

"Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled." - Titus 2:3-5 (ESV)

Our goal at First Baptist Church of Bethany is to see our women live out Titus 2:3-5. As women grow closer to God through discipleship women to then be disciple-makers. Titus 2 is the foundation of First Baptist Church of Bethany's Women's Ministry. Women aim to reach their family, church, community, and the rest of the world for Christ. Our women’s ministry exists so that you can grow closer to God and learn more about Him. Fellowship, making new friends, and having fun are also very important to us. We, therefore, intentionally seek to connect women relationally across the generations for discipling and mentoring experiences. Currently we have a Ladies Sunday School class that meets every Sunday morning at 9:30a.m. In addition, every Monday morning there is a Ladies Coffee and Bible Study at 9:30 a.m. Furthermore, the Women On Mission gather every first Monday of the month at 9:30 a.m. We also have ladies brunch hosted in homes the last Saturday of the month at 10 am.

Keep an eye on this page for news about upcoming events such as retreats, ladies night out, conferences, all day/night prayer sessions, and other seasonal events.
